Church membership is crucial for spiritual growth in the life of a believer. Each believer has been given gifts and is responsible to use them. Being part of a local church gives an opportunity for each believer to use his or her spiritual gifts to both glorify God and to edify the church. Here at JPBC, we seek to provide a community by which one can be both equipped for and participate in the ministry of the local church  ( Eph. 4:11-12).

1. Have FAITH in Jesus Christ. Any person coming for membership at Jackson Park Baptist Church must profess faith in Jesus Christ as both LORD and SAVIOR.

2. Have been baptized by immersion as a believer. Believer’s baptism is symbolic of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

3. Have gone through the new members interview with pastor and/or deacon. This will be a time to review and confirm personal testimony. This time also allows for new members to learn about the church and the expectations of membership.

4. Be presented to the church. This usually happens at the end of our Sunday morning services.
